Baysgarth House was built in 1731 and is the former home of the renowned Nelthorpe family. It was given to the town in 1930 & is situated in 30 acres of parkland which is known as Baysgarth Park.
Baygarth Museum
Baysgarth House Museum and was transferred to the Champ Trust in May 2004.
Exhibits in the museum reflect local relevance of the house. Additional exhibitions will run throughout the year.

Agriculture, Archaeology, Architecture, Archives, Coins and Medals, Costume and Textiles, Decorative and Applied Art, Inland Waterways, Industry, Land Transport, Law and Order, Maritime, Photography, Social History, Toys and Hobbies, Trade and Commerce, Weapons and War.

Baysgath Park
Baysgarth House is situated in 30 acres of parkland known as Baysgarth Park which has facilities for all the family. Additional facilities include Football Pitches, Tennis Courts & a Bowling Green.
