Scunthorpe today is very different to the one 150 years ago. Scunthorpe was in fact on of five rural villages, the others being Ashby, Brumby, Crosby, Frodingham which have evolved and become one with the growth of the Steel Industry in then town. As each village grew they have fused together seperated now by beautiful parklands & gardens.

Scunthorpe today is by far the largest town in North Lincolnshire and as such attracts business and shops alike. Scunthorpe boasts a number of good shopping centres in and around the town
