The Saxby monument stands at the junction between the Main Street & Saxby Hill leading towards Barton. The at the base of the monument is a drinking trough. It was erected in the memory of Frederick Horsley who for 42 years was steward of the estate. It dates back to 1897 and records the 60th year of Queen Victoria's Reign.
