Post by YaBB Administrator on 24. Jun 2006 at 07:47

South Ferriby is one of five that lie on the road that runs between the River Humber & Brigg. The five villages, collectively known as the "Low Villages" as they are located along the foot of the North Lincolnshire Wolds are Worlaby, Bonby, Saxby-all-Saints, Horkstow & South Ferriby.

The buildings of interest which are scattered throughout the village are, Saint Nicholas Church, Wesleyan Chapel, Primitive Methodist Chapel, Church Institute and Vicarage, Primary School, Ferriby Hall and the two public houses, the Nelthorpe Arms and the Hope and Anchor. Other buildings which have been demolished including the Tower Mill, Post Mill and Brickyards.

You can also enjoy the River Ancholme & River Humber as well as taking in the spectacular view of Reads Island from the Wolds. » Powered by YaBB 2.1!
