Office Weather Forecast RAIN !
............ Unfortunately They Got It Right !!!!
The
numbers of bikers and visitors were drastically down on previous years
due to the rain.
OrOrganisers watched the skies all day with increasing uncertainty. Unfortunately, the inevitable happened the rain came down late in the afternoon just as people were preparing to attend the event.
Frustrated organisers said this was the worst bike night for attendance because of the weather. Bikers normally come from far and wide to the event but many stayed away as Tuesday night was horrendous & the forecast for Wednesday wasn’t looking too good either.
All that aside, there was still a good turn out with many local bikers and spectators braving the elements. The trade stands were ever present on King Street between the High Street & George Street.
Unsurprisingly many Classic Motorcycles which normally line up on Queen Street were left covered up at home.
Special Thanks must go out to all the volunteers who braved the elements & helped with marshalling the event.
